Employee happiness has gradually become a crucial aspect for companies. There are now, more than ever, numerous researches confirming that happy employees translate into productive employees and therefore, allowing companies to reap the benefits. As stated in the Social Market Foundation’s Happiness and Productivity (2015) report, happy employees are up to 20% more productive than unhappy employees. But why?

Employee happiness generates a higher level of productivity because it increases engagement and subsequently, happy employees are less likely to be absent at work. Additionally, they give more importance and prioritize the needs of clients as well as being increasingly aware of the company’s steps and procedures in place. Moreover, employee engagement not only increases productivity but also reduces the likelihood of employees voluntarily leaving your organization.

Although this may seem obvious, having happy and engaged employees does not occur without any sort of effort and procedures put in place. There are various processes that must be combined together in order to build and promote a workplace environment favorable to employee happiness. What steps is your organization taking to stimulate employee happiness and engagement? For example, at Collaborative Perks, we focus on employee recognition and uphold a positive teamwork & family culture. Furthermore, we pride ourselves in providing our colleagues with everything they need to prosper. We communicate daily with each other to seek constructive feedback and use it to progress as a team.

Consequently, there is no doubt that employee happiness is tremendously crucial for the success of any organizations. We have seen that having happy employees enables hard work while working more efficiently in teams and mostly more productive. At Collaborative Perks, employee happiness is key since our colleagues are devoted in our company’s objectives and are more productive.
